Aging is a complex process that involves molecular and cellular decline which affects tissue function over time, making you frail and susceptible to disease and death (1). Aging is a continuous process that begins from the fetal stage and continues throughout the entire life. Physiological changes occur slowly over time within the body (2).

Major risk factors for aging and age-related illnesses like osteoarthritis, cancer, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer's, cognitive decline, obesity, osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, & cardiovascular (CVD) include oxidative stress, systemic low-grade chronic inflammation, and the impairment of hormonal, fibrinolytic, and immune status (2).

As one cannot stop aging or prevent age-related declines but there are ways to increase the likelihood that one will live a healthy life. Small modifications in nutrition & lifestyle can make a big difference in promoting healthy aging. It is more important to take early steps to maintain your health by approaching healthy aging than to deal with age-related declines & diseases in the later stage of life.

Reaching the age of 40 is an important milestone in life from a health perspective. It's a time when the body's overall health is at great risk, so it's the perfect time to address problems before they get worse.

Why body needs extra support?

Environmental stressors, modern lifestyle, inflammation, infections & several diseases & age are some of the factors which are responsible for oxidative stress & free radical production. Increase ROS (Reactive oxygen species) production leads to an imbalance that can cause cell & tissue damage. Therefore it needs to be managed as early as possible (3).

Advanced Nutrients formulation specifically targets the nutritional needs of middle-aged adults to support their overall well-being and promote healthy aging. This comprehensive formula not only focuses on cognition and energy levels but also addresses the cellular and internal factors associated with aging. By providing essential nutrients and supporting optimal cellular function, Advance Nutrient aims to help individuals support cognitive function, and enhance energy levels as they age. It takes into account the specific requirements of middle-aged adults, making it a valuable addition to their wellness routine.

Mode of Action:

Coenzyme Q10:

Coenzyme Q10 is a compound that is involved in the making of ATP, the major energy source of the body, and drives numerous physiological processes by transferring electrons and protons. New website

It plays a crucial role in the generation of cellular energy, and heart muscle contraction, and acts as a free radical scavenger (1).

Coenzyme Q10 is present in higher concentrations in heart tissues. CoQ10 is widely recognized for its protective effect on cardiovascular health. It strengthens the heart muscles, provides energy, and acts as an antioxidant (2).

Carorite™ (Carotenoid complex):

Carotenoids counteract oxidative stress and thus promote healthy aging (3). It fulfills the daily carotenoid requirements of the body. CaroRite™ is composed of a carotenoid complex, containing the ideal dosage of Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Beta Carotene, Alpha Carotene, Lycopene, and other carotenoids.

It supports the antioxidant system, eye health, cognitive function, immune health & healthy aging.

Curcumin:

Curcumin, the active ingredient in Curcuma longa, has been extensively documented for its analgesic effect against inflammation arising from a wide range of conditions like Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. It is also reported to possess, cardiac-protective and supports healthy aging (4).

Studies have demonstrated that Curcumin switches off inflammation at the molecular level by blocking cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), promotes the synthesis of Cortisol, and thus helps to reduce inflammation (4).

Trans-Resveratrol:

It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular protection, anticancer, antidiabetic, neuroprotection, and antiaging effects. Resveratrol is now looked at as an effective compound for supporting healthy aging and managing the age-related disease (5).

It activates a protein called SIRT1, which is involved in regulating cellular processes associated with aging. However, the impact of resveratrol on the human lifespan is still unclear and requires further investigation (6).

It may enhance cellular repair mechanisms, improve mitochondrial function, and promote longevity pathways. These effects may contribute to healthy aging at the cellular level (6).

Choline:

Choline contributes to healthy aging through various mechanisms. It supports brain health by being involved in the production of neurotransmitters that are crucial for cognitive function and memory (7).

Choline is also important for maintaining the integrity and function of cell membranes, which are essential for overall cellular health (7).

It plays a role in liver health by aiding in fat metabolism and preventing the accumulation of fat in the liver (7).

Additionally, choline has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, helping to combat inflammation and oxidative stress that can contribute to the aging process. Lastly, choline is involved in muscle function and may help preserve muscle strength and prevent age-related muscle loss (7).

Choline is necessary for synthesis of neurotransmitters (acetylcholine), cell-membrane structure and signaling (phospholipids), transport of lipids (lipoproteins), and methylation (homocysteine reduction) (7).

The body can synthesize choline but the amount is not sufficient to meet human requirements. Therefore choline supplementation is beneficial to maintain overall wellbeing

Taurine:

Taurine contributes to healthy aging through its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, supporting cellular health. It has beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, including blood pressure regulation and improved lipid profiles. Taurine also exhibits neuroprotective properties, supporting brain health and cognitive function. It plays a role in maintaining mitochondrial function, which is essential for cellular energy production and overall health. Additionally, taurine supports muscle health, reduces damage and inflammation, and may enhance physical performance, promoting healthy aging (8).
